Why start my own blog?

I am using this medium as a way to channel my thoughts and experiences. I have created this site totally impulsively. In fact, if I had taken even just a few moments to think it over, this site would probably not even exist. My fear would have stopped me. However, as I want to create more opportunities to engage my creativity in the coming year, I believe a blog can be a good vehicle.
